1. Agreement

By accessing ExactTime you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please stop using the site. The site is provided free of charge and no account or payment is required.

2. What the service is

ExactTime displays clock, calendar and daylight information derived from your own device clock and the public IANA time zone database, together with original editorial guides. It is an informational convenience, not an official or certified time service.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• interfere with, disrupt, overload or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure;
• scrape, mirror or systematically copy the site's content for republication without written permission;
• circumvent, hide or interfere with advertising, consent notices or security measures;
• use the site in breach of any applicable law, or in a way that infringes another party's rights;
• introduce malware or use automated tools that place an unreasonable load on the service.

4. Intellectual property

The text of the guides, the site design and its code are owned by the operator of ExactTime. You may quote short passages with clear attribution and a link to the source page. The IANA time zone database is a public dataset maintained by third parties. Third-party trademarks mentioned on the site belong to their respective owners.

5. No warranty

The site and all content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that times displayed will be accurate to any particular tolerance — displayed times depend on the accuracy of your own device clock. 6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ExactTime and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, missed appointments, missed deadlines, missed transport, or other losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid to use the site (which is zero) or the minimum amount permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud or for any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.

7. Third-party links and advertising

The site links to external resources and displays advertising supplied by third parties. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, products, services or privacy practices of those third parties, and a link or an advertisement is not an endorsement. 8. Availability and changes to the service

We may add, change, suspend or discontinue any part of the site at any time, including cities, guides and features, without notice and without liability.

9. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above identifies the current version, and continuing to use the site after a revision means you accept the revised terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [insert governing jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of that jurisdiction shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute — save that consumers retain any right to bring proceedings in their country of residence where mandatory local law provides for it.
